cookie, made famous by the’Seinfeld episode ‘The Dinner Party.’ Readers gave their own opinions

Black and Whites are my favorite cookie. I’ll often get one downstairs at Grand Central on the way into the city.

I find the typical B/W cookie, at least in NYC has the consistancy and mouth feel more of a very thin cake than a cookie or even a ’soft’ cookie.

I like ‘em both! They really are misnamed. A true black & white is really a cake. Only the cheap nasty imitations are cookie like.

I haven’t done any ‘research’ on the subject, but your B/W cookie ‘dealer’ of choice, Zarros in GCT has great _everything_. For a bakery in such a commercial/touristy location, it is really great. It’s also very expensive, but hey, the train rides a pretty reasonable.
