Good Question.

I haven't done any 'research' on the subject, but your B/W cookie 'dealer' of choice, Zarros in GCT has great _everything_. For a bakery in such a commercial/touristy location, it is really great. It's also very expensive, but hey, the train rides a pretty reasonable.

I like 'em both! They really are misnamed. A true black & white is really a cake. Only the cheap nasty imitations are cookie like.

Question: who makes the best in NYC?

I find the typical B/W cookie, at least in NYC has the consistancy and mouth feel more of a very thin cake than a cookie or even a 'soft' cookie.
